I can definitely see Akai being a little menace. He has noticed before that you don’t usually get when someone flirts with you. However, after some time even he would get frustrated. How can you still not get it??? He is absolutely floored. At some point, he will probably just stare at you while you’re talking away, before deciding to simply kiss you to shut you up.
Furuya would do the same, if it weren’t for his current mission. That’s why he’d most likely not act on his feelings immediately. But then you two get close - albeit platonically - and he can’t help but want to pursue you romantically. He’s already so close to you, this won’t put you in more danger than you might already be in. Doesn’t know what to do when you tell him he’s a way too giving friend after his invitation to one of the most expensive restaurants in Tokyo though.
I can’t with him🤣 for some reason it is funny to me 😂 the way he is changing his character 😂 as Subaru he is showing the caring side of his, but as Shuichi he is being the cool guy🤣

“I didn’t know we were dating,” you finally said as Akai led you away from the matsuri, his heavy hand resting warm on your back. Now that his family was finally gone, his shoulders relaxed, fingers fishing for a cigarette and the lighter in his right pocket.
He hummed. “Think it was bound to happen anyways, right?”
You shrugged, a nervous laugh escaping your lips.
“I think you’ll find me annoying though.”
He huffed a laugh as he flicked open the lighter.
“I doubt it.”
You giggled. “No, I’m serious.” Then, you bit your lower lip, voice turning into a hushed whisper. “I think you’ll find me annoying after a while.”
“Try me.”
“I’d tell you to quit smoking until you do.”
Shuichi’s hand froze mid air, fire flickering softly against the cigarette hanging loosely from his mouth. Then he snapped the lighter shut and took the cigarette from his mouth, blowing smoke into the air as he did so. He put the cigarette out on a nearby trashcan. The rest of the package followed suit.
His hand found purchase on your back again, tugging you closer to him. He laughed when he saw the look of surprise on your face.
“What? You think that’senough to keep me from you, sweetheart?”

This is what you call happiness. You felt so content with the love of your life. Seeing them relaxing on the couch you can sense how comfortable they have become as the relationship developed more. You caught yourself smiling and thinking about all the wonderful memories you experienced with them. Making your way towards them you sat comfortably on their lap, your arms draped lazily around his shoulder. You felt his hands snake around your waist. Your hands slide up cupping his cheeks ou began to speak “you are amazing” kissing his cheek “you are wonderful” kissing his other cheek “ you make me smile all the time.” kissing his forehead “you are perfect.” kissing the tip of his nose “I can’t imagine my life without you.” you softly spoke before kissing his lips. You could feel the smile forming on his lips as they pressed against yours. As your lips separated from one another you continued to kiss his face, still whispering words to the man you loved.
It’s a little late but Happy Birthday Ace! Ace is a wounderful and well written character with quirks and flaws that make him so incredibly human and relatable.
Years after he left canon he remains a solid favorite for the fandom. He’s always in the top 100. He’s such a beloved character.
He’s been one of my favourites since I met him all those years ago. Being into One Piece as long as I have its been so great seeing Ace staying loved for all these years.
I won’t go into how sad his fate was, how I still feel it wasn’t needed.
Ace is a very real soul and still remains one of the best written characters and most complex in One Piece and we love him for it.
